When you send a brief through our contact page we store the name, email address and project description you provide, plus the optional company, website, budget, timing and discipline fields. That enquiry record contains what you typed and nothing else — it does not include your IP address or browser details.

Why: to read your enquiry, reply to it and discuss possible work. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests — responding to someone who has contacted us about a project — and, where applicable, steps taken at your request before entering a contract.

Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to any mailing list, and we do not use enquiry details for marketing.

To stop the form being used for bulk automated messages, we keep a separate abuse-control record. It holds a one-way hash calculated from your IP address and browser user-agent, a count of recent submissions and a timestamp. The hash cannot be read back as an IP address, it is not linked to your enquiry, and these records are deleted automatically once they are more than a day old. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the form working.

Separately, the companies that host and serve this website generate their own request logs as part of delivering it, and those logs can include IP addresses. Those logs are held by those providers under their own terms and retention periods, not by us.

If you ask to hear when the new site launches, we store the email address and any name you give us, your confirmation status, the tokens that operate the confirmation and unsubscribe links, and the timestamps of those actions. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link in any message or by emailing us.

Unsubscribing marks your record as unsubscribed rather than deleting it immediately. Keeping that suppression record is how we make sure the address is not added or emailed again by mistake. If you would prefer the record removed entirely, email us and we will delete it.

• Supabase — database and authentication hosting for enquiries, the launch list and administrator accounts.
• Cloudflare — serves and routes this website, and processes the requests your browser makes to it.
• Resend — delivers launch-list confirmation and update emails.
• Google Fonts — serves the typefaces used across the site, so your browser requests those files from Google when a page loads.

These providers act on our instructions or, in the case of serving fonts and files, as part of delivering the page. Each publishes its own privacy and data-processing terms, including for processing outside the UK.

Enquiries are kept while the conversation is active and afterwards as a record of business contact; we review them periodically and delete those that are no longer needed. Launch-list entries are kept until you unsubscribe — after which the suppression record described above remains — or until the launch list is closed. Abuse-control records are deleted automatically after a day. Enquiries have no fixed deletion date: we keep each one only for as long as it is needed for the enquiry itself, any resulting work, and our legal and accounting obligations, and you can ask us to delete yours at any time.

Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to restrict or object to how we use it, and ask for it in a portable format. Email sales@thecreativedesign.co.uk and we will reply as quickly as we can, within the time limits UK GDPR sets.
