The challenge

A transport operation carries a great deal of daily administration: vehicles on the road, trailers moving between clients and locations, drivers and crew, trip records and the costs attached to each one. The company also needs a public face that explains the service clearly. Those are two different jobs, and they should not be the same piece of software.

Our approach

We treat the work as two connected parts. The company website is the public-facing side, written and designed for people who are considering the service. Behind it sits the administrative platform the team actually works in each day: registering and controlling trips, keeping fleet, trailer and personnel records, and reading the financial and operational reporting that comes out of them. The design decisions are ours and made with the people who run the company; development is AI-assisted and human-led, and the work continues as ongoing maintenance and further development rather than a single delivery.

What we delivered

  • Company website, separate from the internal administrative applications
  • Trip registration and trip control, including trip history and manifests
  • Fleet and vehicle administration
  • Trailer records: locations, client allocation and movement status
  • Personnel records and administration
  • Financial and operational reporting
  • Ongoing maintenance and further development
  • A motion graphics walkthrough of the real platform, produced by the studio

See the platform in action

Explore the day-to-day operation through three views of the platform: trailer control, trip management, and financial and operational reporting.

  • Trailer control

Trailer records with their location, the client they are allocated to and whether they are moving or standing.

  • Trip management

Trip registration and control, with trip history and the manifests attached to each journey.

  • Reporting

The financial and operational reporting the team reads from the same records.
